Terms of Service

By accessing or using Check My Script ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

Check My Script provides a platform connecting students with professional tutors who perform Turnitin plagiarism checks and AI pledge removal services. We are a marketplace — the tutor, not Check My Script, performs the actual check.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. Students who sign up with a verified educational email address (.edu) may be eligible for bonus credits as detailed in our promotions.

Credits are purchased through our payment processor (Stripe). Credits are non-refundable except as explicitly stated (e.g., order cancellation before acceptance). Prices and credit packages may change at any time.

1 credit = 1 Turnitin report (AI + Similarity). AI Plagiarism Removal is priced at 1 credit per 1,000 words (rounded up).

You agree not to:

• Submit documents containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Use temporary or disposable email addresses to abuse promotional credits
• Attempt to circumvent access controls or rate limits
• Share your account credentials with others

Documents you upload remain your property. You grant Check My Script a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your document solely for the purpose of delivering the service. We do not retain, share, or use your documents for any other purpose.

Check My Script is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount of credits purchased in the 30 days prior to the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or use the Service in ways that harm other users or the integrity of the platform.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
