We collect the following information when you use Check My Script:

• Account data: name, email address, role (student/tutor)
• Documents: files you upload for checking — stored encrypted
• Transaction data: credit purchases and usage history
• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken within the platform

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Service
• Match your documents with available tutors
• Process payments and manage credit balances
• Send transactional emails (confirmations, notifications)
• Detect and prevent abuse (e.g., disposable email fraud)

Documents you upload are stored securely via Supabase storage with server-side encryption. Only you and your assigned tutor can access your document. We do not share, sell, or use your documents for training AI models or any purpose beyond delivering the Service.

Documents are retained for 90 days after the order is closed, then permanently deleted.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing (we do not store card details)
• Resend — transactional email delivery

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them.

When you sign up with an educational (.edu) email address, we grant bonus credits as a promotional offer. We check the email domain against known disposable/temporary email providers to prevent abuse. We do not contact your institution.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion by contacting us. Upon deletion, your documents and personal data are removed within 30 days.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the platform.

We use session cookies for authentication purposes only. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
